Yes, I’m still here. The past few weeks have been mostly repeats and holiday stuff, but things are heating up again on the small screen.

The first thing I want to mention is the Golden Globe Awards and the two awards for Ugly Betty for comedy series and best actress in a comedy.

I am just thrilled about both of these awards. And if you were watching and you didn’t tear up a little during America Ferrera’s acceptance speech, then you must not be human. I admit it. I had tears running down my face, especially when she talked about getting letters from girls who say that she has made them realize they do have worth no matter what they look like.

This show is amazing, not just because of the writing and the acting, but because of the message it sends. Love. This. Show. And if you’re not watching it? Well, you should be. And that’s all I have to say about that.

The second thing is that tonight your favorite and mine, American Idol, returns to the lineup. Yay!
