Let me state here and now that I am firmly on the side of the writers in this strike. Even if it means it screws up my television viewing for most of the rest of the season. It’s ridiculous that they get 4 cents per dvd (they’re asking for 8 cents) and ZERO cents for online viewings and downloads. Ri. dic. u. lous. Without writers, there are no shows. Yes, actors are important, but an actor can only act if they are given scripts. And without good scripts, you don’t have good shows. So greedy networks? Give the writers what they are asking for and get the strike over with already.
Oh, and by the way, I will not be watching any of the new reality tv drivel you come up with after you run out of scripted shows. I will just turn the television off. Or catch up on movies. Or spend more time with my family. Or get a lot of projects done. Or read a book. I won’t miss the television at all. And I’m sure a lot of other people won’t either. And they might not come back. Just think about that for awhile. ‘Kay?
Now some links for you to peruse:
How long before your shows go dark?
• Grey’s Anatomy has 4 episodes left.
• Heroes has only 3 episodes left!
• Lost has 8 episodes ready to start in February.
• 4 episodes left of one of my new favorites, Pushing Daisies.
• Scrubs has 9 episodes left and no series finale prepared. *sob*
• Ugly Betty has 5 or 6 episodes left.

A list of the crap they will be showing on network television once the good shows go dark.
Okay, it’s not all crap, but come on…
• Here Come the Newlyweds
• Do You Trust Me?
• The Moment of Truth (in which contestants are strapped to a lie detector and asked personal questions - definite crap)
• Clash of the Choirs (I’d like to think this will be good, but I doubt it)
• Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants
• Farmer Wants a Wife
You’re really reaching with these, networks. And not in a good way.
