As Cat always says, another guy and another girl are going home tonight. Who will it be?
The group numbers on this show are about 1000 times better than the group numbers on American Idol and this one, choreographed by Shane Sparks, was spectacular.
Straight to results…
Katee and Joshua are…safe!
Kherington and Twitch are…safe!
Chelsea and Thayne are…in the bottom 3.
No surprise, but I think they were let down by their choreographer this week to be honest.
Chelsie and Mark are…safe!
Kourtni and Matt are…safe!
Jessica and Will are…safe!
Susie and Marquis are…in the bottom 3.
Also not a big surprise. They just didn’t bring enough fire to the Salsa.
Comfort and Chris are…in the bottom 3.
Not that much of a surprise here either. Krump historically hasn’t gone over that well with the voters.
Courtney and Gev are…safe!
So the bottom 3 girls are: Comfort, Susie and Chelsea.
If I had to guess, I’d say Susie will be leaving.
The bottom 3 guys are: Chris, Marquis and Thayne.
I kind of think it’ll be Marquis and we’ll lose another set of partners this week.
But the solos could totally change my opinion on that! In the meantime, we get to see Timo Nunez do some intense and flamenco. And he’s not bad to look at either.
Solo time…
Chelsea T dances to Time is Now by Moloko.
Thayne dances to Belief by Gavin DeGraw.
Susie dances to The Anthem by Pitbull featuring Lil Jon.
Marquis dances to Stop and Stare by OneRepublic.
Comfort dances to Planet Rock by Afrika Bambaataa.
Chris dances to Again by John Legend.
Off the judges go to deliberate while Flo Rider performs. Not my kind of music, so I hit the fast forward button.
And final results time. I hate this part.
First, the girls…
Chelsea is…safe!
Comfort is…safe!
Susie is…<going home.
Finally, the guys…
Thayne is…safe!
Chris is…safe!
Marquis is…going home.
Cat really is a sweetie. She’s very motherly toward the dancers - much more so than any other host. I’d love to see she and Tom Bergeron work together. Except she’s probably way too tall for him.
But this isn’t about Cat. It’s about the dancers. It’s hard to see any of them go, but I think it was the best choice they could have made at this point in the show.
I was not attached to this pair at all, so no loss, in my opinion.
