Tonight’s the night. The competition is over. The stress is over. Well, some of it is anyway. The votes are in. One will win and three will not. Who will it be? We shall see! Along with a bunch of other really cool stuff, I’m sure!

The Top 20 are back! Woot!

At the judges table are Mia Michaels, Adam Shankman, Debbie Allen, Nigel, Mary, and Lil’ C. (Yay for Lil’ C!)

Adam reiterates that the winner gets a lead dance role in his new movie Step Up 3D. How cool is THAT? I might actually watch it!

First up, a recap of the season.

Next, the Top 20 (but really only 19 because of Jessica) dance a Shane Sparks routine to Boom by Sin featuring T-Pain. Awesome routine in which the final 4 are the only ones left standing. I have to say that Shane Sparks always choreographs FANTASTIC group routines.

As is the custom, the judges choose their favorite routines from the season. First up, Nigel picks the Bollywood routine danced by Katee and Joshua.

Mary chooses the Rumba as danced by Courtney and Gev. So good to see Gev back on stage!

It’s time! No, not for the results. For the dance off between poppers Robert Muraine and Philip Chbeeb. To the strains of Stronger by Kanye West, they pop their freakishly double-jointed hearts out. It was a pleasure to watch, but personally, I’m a Robert Muraine fan all the way. He just amazes me. Great stuff all around, though! Mia says they are both out of this world completely, but she votes for Philip. Adam says Robert is a freak of natures and votes for him. Debbie says Philip was more musical and Robert is more theatrical, so she votes for Robert. Nigel votes for Robert’s sarcasm. Mary votes for Robert. Lil’ C says it was buck and votes for Robert. So Robert wins 5-1.

Adam chooses the Hip-hop routine danced by Comfort and Twitch.

Lil’ C chooses the Hip-hop routine performed by Chelsie and Mark. Yes!

Uh oh, Mary has left the judging table! Because next is a surprise performance by season 2’s Dmitry and Mary Murphy herself! It’s awesome to see the choreographers/judges dance! That was cool!

Mia chooses the Pas de Deux danced by Katee and Will.

Adam chooses Courtney and Mark’s Jazz routine. I think I liked it better this time.

Time for some results.

Courtney is not America’s favorite dancer. But we still love her!

The Top 5 guys reprise their Five Guys Named Moe routine. Which I love!

Next up, it’s the cast of Criss Angel: Believe choreographed by Wade Robson. That was…weird.

Katee is not America’s favorite dancer. A very very good dancer, though! And that means, a hip-hop dancer IS going to win this year! Awesome!!! But, surprise! There’s a prize for the top boy AND the top girl this year and so Katee wins $50,000! Yay for Katee!

Now Nigel has disappeared from the judges table? Could that mean…? Well, let’s see. The Debbie Allen Dance Academy is performing. Cute little kids tap dancing! And Nigel joins them and proves he really is a dancer. Good stuff!

Mary chooses Katee and Twitch’s contemporary. Remember that poor abused door?

And next, what ever teenybopper in America has been waiting for: Nick, Joe, and Kevin. The Jonas Brothers. They are quite cute.

Debbie chooses the Viennese Waltz danced by Twitch and Kherington. Twitchington lives!

For the last routine, Nigel chooses the Hip-hop performed by Katee and Joshua. I like this so much better now that I “know” them better!

We catch up with some of the dancers from past seasons. So good to see them! Even better? Past dancers come back and perform together! Oh yeah!!!! I saw: Dominic, Lauren, Travis, Allison, Benji, Jaimie, Ivan, Melody, Neil, Anya, Dmitry, Ryan, and Hok. Did I miss anyone?

Now it’s time to fine out whether Joshua or Twitch is America’s favorite dancer.

The winner is…..JOSHUA!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for Twitch for making it to the Final 2, but wow. Joshua just blew me (and everyone else I think) away week after week after week. What a dancer!

And now it’s time to say goodbye to another season of the best reality competition on television. And I’d probably go into withdrawals, but the Olympics start tomorrow, so that should help a bit. Until next year or maybe just until Dancing with the Stars, I bid you adieu!
