Each couple does two dances this week. Will they rise to the challenge?

Laila and Maksim
Quickstep

Maksim really enjoys working with Laila and it’s obvious in the way he dances and mugs for the camera. This quickstep was a lot of fun. A little slow for my taste, but still fun. And I love her hair.

Foxtrot

Wow! Edyta has a lot of clothes on. ;) Classy foxtrot - enjoyable and Edyta’s little floor spin at the end was fun as well!

Apolo and Julianne
Foxtrot

Just so smooth and in sync and elegant, with a little whimsy thrown in at the end. Although I think they’re might get them for that semi-lift at the end. (They didn’t.)

Ian and Cheryl
Tango

Loved the slide at the beginning. Hate the music. Whoever picks the music out for most of these dances needs to find a new job. Not a bad tango. It would have been better with decent music I’m sure.

Billy Ray and Karina
Waltz

Billy Ray, as always, does a lot of standing around. And my issue with that at this point in the competition, is that everyone else is actually dancing and doing the steps, and it’s not fair to keep him around if he isn’t.

Joey and Kym
Foxtrot

Joey in the top hat and tails is great. The dance sort of had multiple personality disorder for me, though. They performed it well, but I just didn’t really get it.

Great fun Samba! Loved it! You could tell they were enjoying themselves. But the music was HORRIBLE. Ugh.

First of all, this is not very sexy music, and the fact that he’s old enough to be her father notwithstanding, again the music was a bit detrimental to the dance.

Mambo

The skirt of her dress is awesome, but the top is horrible. It’s very distracting. Some great great tricks, some fun moves, they really killed this (in a good way).

Mambo

This was my very favorite dance of theirs ever. Ian really broke out and had fun and it showed. Great!

Samba

Billy Ray is doing a little more in this dance than he did in the first dance, but he’s still not close to the rest of the dancers. It’s time to send him home America.

The jive suits Joey’s personality so well. I think this was spectacular.
