The show started with the sad news that Marie Osmond’s father died this morning, so Marie was obviously not there. But, as Tom Bergeron said, the show must go on, and someone must go home. It’s not Marie, however. She is safe. I think it’s going to be Jane, but you never know. Not this season!

It’s no surprise that the encore goes to Mel B and Maks and their Paso Doble.

Jonathan talks about Marie and the loss of her father and says Marie will be back. And I’m glad to hear that.

Segue to Leann Rimes singing my least favorite song she’s ever recorded. I HATE it in fact. Not the song. But her version of it. makes. my. skin. crawl. Give me Trisha Yearwood any day singing “How Do I Live”. I literally muted the television. But Julianne and Tony were pretty to watch dancing. Too bad I couldn’t hear the music that went along with it because they did a great routine.

The RockSteady Crew performs. And that ain’t ballroom baby.

Leann Rimes is back. In a very short dress. And I still don’t particularly like the way she chews her words, but at least she isn’t ruining one of my favorite songs this time. We’ll see how long I can stand to listen. Cheryl and Anna and Kym and a couple other female dancers I don’t recognize do the routine this time.

No bottom 2 tonight, so one of the three couples that is left is going home.

Helio and Julianne are…safe!
Jennie and Derek are…safe!
Jane and Tony are…going home.

I think that this was the correct elimination. Jane is lovely and elegant and graceful, and a wonderful dancer, but she hasn’t continued to improve like the others have, she’s sort of stalled. Sad to see her go, though!
