The stars are doing two dances this week - one ballroom and one Latin. As Tom Bergeron says, “anything can and does happen”. What will happen tonight?
Helio and Julianne
Tango
Julianne starts the dance in a chair sitting next to Donny Osmond. Very bizarre Tango music. I just don’t really have more to say about the music than that. I’m sick of the crappy music selections. I do have to say, though, that I really enjoyed the dance. I thought Julianne did a great job working with crappy music and the choreography was enjoyable.

Samba
Julianne has a raccoon on her chest! Okay, maybe not, but she gets the award for weirdest costume of the night. Helio, though, can definitely shake his groove thing. Oh, and appropriate music!

Judges scores: 9 + 9 + 9 = 27
My score: 9
Marie and Jonathan
Quickstep
And again - this is jive music, not quickstep music. However, Jonathan’s choreography really worked. Marie looks fabulous and it was a great dance. Very enjoyable.

Judges scores: 10 + 9 + 9 = 28
My score: 9
Cha-Cha
This was an absolutely fantastic dance for Marie. Wow. The music was weird again, but Jonathan made it work with the choreography. I loved this.

Judges scores: 8 + 8 + 8 = 24
My score: 9
Mel B and Maks
Foxtrot
The music was a little better, but only a little. Mel’s costume was odd. It was a lovely dance overall, but it wasn’t as good as I wish it had been.

Paso Doble
First of all, her costume was hot hot hot. (Stupid music again, though!) Mel was a powerful dominatrix in this dance. Fantastic.

Judges scores: 10 + 10 + 10 = 30
My score: 10
Jane and Tony
Quickstep
An odd but meaningful song selection. I’m also not sure why they decided to attach a roll of toilet paper to her dress. I think this was a great dance for elegant Jane, but the dress was really distracting.

Judges scores: 8 + 8 + 8 = 24
My score: 8
Cha-cha
It was not bad. It was very entertaining actually, but it lacked some hotness. And I often forget how good a Latin dancer Tony is.

Judges scores: 8 + 9 + 9 = 26
My score: 8
Jennie and Derek
Viennese Waltz
Some really beautiful lines and finally a song that made sense with the dance. And some beautiful spins as well. Very graceful and lovely.

Judges scores: 8 + 8 + 9 = 25
My score: 9
Rumba
Their Rumba lacked a certain passion factor that some of the other Rumbas had, but it was very well danced. Beautiful lines.

Judges scores: 9 + 9 + 10 = 28
My score: 9
Cameron and Edyta
Quickstep
It’s becoming a recurring theme tonight, but again - stupid music. But a pretty decent Quickstep nonetheless.

Judges scores: 8 + 8 + 8 = 24
My score: 8
Jive
Very athletic, upbeat, energetic jive. And decent music, too. Well done.

Judges scores: 9 + 9 + 9 = 27
My score: 9
