I did need to mention, though, that on Monday nights, there are two television shows that you NEED TO BE WATCHING.

First, How I Met Your Mother, which I’ve mentioned before and will continue to mention because it’s just that good.

Second, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, which is just a wow of a wow of a wow. Great acting. Great writing. Great great stuff. Watch. It. Do not let it get cancelled. It’s that good.

The Class: I’m going to give this another week or two. There are 8 main characters so the premiere episode was a little convoluted with trying to give the characters connections and set up their histories and stories, so it was a little much, but it seems like it has potential. We shall see.

How I Met Your Mother: The show I missed the most over the summer. Yes, I actually missed it more than Lost, surprisingly. And it’s back stronger than ever. There were some great Barneyisms, one having to do with a BPEG. If you are not watching this show yet, this is the time to start. It’s great stuff.

Two and a Half Men: It seemed like at the end of the season everyone would be getting a “happy ending”, but no! That would have ruined the whole premise of the show, so it’s back to the norm. And it’s still funny.

The New Adventures of Old Christine: I just love Julia Louis-Dreyfus and I’m glad she finally has something in which she can shine. I also love the addition of Blair Underwood as her son’s new teacher. There is nothing wrong with a little Blair Underwood sighting on a weekly basis and it will be interesting to see him doing comedy, since what I know him best for is L.A. Law.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip: I have heard it described as a West Wing about television. Well, I never watched West Wing. Nope, not one episode, so I can’t really comment on that. But I can say that it was very very good. Not something I’d want my kids to watch, but definitely an adult television show. Some have called it the best new show of the season and say that it will save NBC. That remains to be seen, but there is a lot of poking fun at NBC in the show. Matthew Perry (you know, Chandler Bing from Friends) had some line about “saving the network” referring to saving the fictional network, of course, but the irony was not lost. Imagine that. Chandler Bing saving the network. That’s good television…lol! I’m looking forward to seeing more of this one!
