The show starts off with Simon clearing up his eyeroll that was misconstrued by some who watched as being disrespectful to the families and victims of Virginia Tech.
Then Ryan does some more man on the street interviews. To fill time. Huh. That guy with the long hair and beard looked familiar. That’s gonna bug me now. Edited to add: I think it was one of the hippies that won Amazing Race a couple of seasons ago. Which they might have mentioned, but I don’t always hear everything with Miss 2 year old around.
Anyway.
The group does “I’m Alright”. I love this song and they did okay. Apparently Jordin and Melinda are the only ones who can sing harmony.
Musical guest tonight is: Fergie showing her softer side.
And another Ford videoercial.
Can we get down to business yet? Who’s going home. Please put Sanjaya out of our misery. Please.
Ryan will split them into two groups: one group has the highest, one group has the lowest.
Sanjaya, LaKisha, Blake are…the bottom 3.
Phil, Jordin, Chris R are…safe!
Melinda is…safe!
My Blake better be safe. If Sanjaya goes before Blake, I’m going to be one angry blogger. (I have it on good authority that Blake is safe.) And I will be voting starting next week.
But, first, it’s time to listen to Martina McBride. I love Martina. A little tiny girl with a HUGE voice. She rocks.
Blake is…SAFE! WOOT!
Whew.
LaKisha is…safe!
Sanjaya is…FINALLY going home. America finally got it right. Nice kid, but he’s far outstayed his 15 minutes of fame. I think his shirt said it all: Life is beautiful.

Now the competition is ON baby. Bring it!
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
