My original plan for tonight was to take a picture of the lunar eclipse, but the clouds had other ideas and obscured the moon from view during most of the eclipse. Instead, we took pictures of the lightning, something we don’t often see in the winter.
Taken February 20, 2008.

Very cool! I can’t even remember the last time I saw an electric storm (they aren’t very popular in Britain). ;)

This is so beautiful! I’m sort of glad you couldn’t get the eclipse, because then you wouldn’t have had *this*!

I was so disappointed because it was cloudy here, too. But we didn’t get the fabulous lightning to compensate. This is a wonderful photograph!

What a beautiful picture. For once neither of my children woke me up at 3 in the morning (they waited until 5am) so I missed the lunar eclipse.

ooooooooh - the lightening makes a great subject - love how you caught that odd yellowish light that comes with storms

Wow, that is a fantastic picture. You captured the beauty of nature, even if it wasn’t the moment you wanted.

Wow… that is an awesome picture! It’s too bad you missed out on the lunar eclipse, but the lightening is really neat. We don’t get electrical storms too frequently here. This is a definite keeper!
