Day 285: Gecko

Gecko

We went to Railfair today at the Railroad Park and LG saw a little boy with a gecko painted on his arm and had to have one. We searched out the face painting tent and she got her gecko. I was actually kind of surprised because (and those who know her well will attest to this) she doesn’t normally like people she doesn’t know to touch her (which is probably a good thing really), but she wanted that gecko badly enough to let the nice lady paint her arm. And she didn’t freak out one little bit! The weather today, by the way, was simply awesome. Well, it was windy, but who cares? It was a nice cool wind and the coolness felt soooo good!

One Response to “Day 285: Gecko”

  1. Azahar Idris Says:

Talking about gecko, I could not forget an incident in our international administrative training institute.

One night the stillness of the night was broken by a continuous shouting and crying from a room next to mine.

Thinking that the room might have been broken into, we quickly gathered outside it and began knocking at the door. The lady inside was still shouting.

Then there was silence. She opened the door.

“What’s the matter?” “Where’s the intruder?”

We came into the room and saw no one else was there.

Then she told us. “There was this huge dragon up on my ceiling!”

We looked up and saw a glimpse of a gecko as it disappeared into the next room.

“What dragon? It is just a gecko!”

We all laughed. According to her, there was no such creature where she came from…
