    The type ball for a typewriter. [Can't think of the proper terminology right at the moment. But that ball replaces all the individual keys that typewriters used to have.]

    Yep, for the IBM Selectric. Marianne even had one at home before she got her computer. She had a whole set of balls with different fonts.

    very cool shot!! yepper, very familiar to me - an element for the IBM Selectric - typed on one of those for years!
