Project 365 Topic #46 - Black & White

Posted in Project 365+1 2008 on November 10th, 2008 by Karin

We’re winding down to the end of the year and the end of project 365 for this go round. Time to change it up again and try something different, so this week it’s black & white. Now, these topics are always open to interpretation, so if you want to do color photos of black and white objects, go for it. Or if you want to post black and white photos, that’s great, too. Sometimes I change my photos to black and white in the editing process if I think they might look good that way. But other times I change the camera setting to black and white because looking at the world through a black and white lens gives it a whole different perspective. Whichever way you choose to go, have fun!

Day 314: What the Hail?

Posted in Project 365+1 2008 on November 9th, 2008 by Karin

What the Hail?

I was taking a nap this afternoon while my daughter watched her favorite show that I dvr for her. It’s half an hour long, so it gives me a nice 30 minute power nap. As I was coming out of my groggy state while listening to the ending theme song, I heard a loud roll of thunder outside. No rain in the forecast that I had seen. Nothing on the radar when I’d looked a couple of hours earlier. And yet, there was thunder. I jumped out of bed to shut down my computer, and as I did that I happened to glance out the window and thought I saw something white falling. I ran to the window and discovered it was hailing. Wow. Fall was nice the whole two weeks it lasted, but it appears that winter is trying to make an early appearance around here!
