Bonus Tuesday Photos
What happens when you get ambitious and post your photo of the day early? You get some really cool photo ops later in the day. It figures. Anyway, I couldn’t resist sharing some of my photos with you all, so here they are. By the way, for readers of my regular blog, I just cut and pasted the following from the entry over there, so you don’t have to reread it all again if you don’t want to…
Mike came home and suggested we hang out in the yard for awhile until dinner time. He went to work watering plants, LG followed him around, and I wandered around with my camera looking for something to photograph. But then, something caught my eye in the next door neighbor’s yard.
I don’t know about you, but a one week old foal is not something I see every day. In fact, I can say with almost complete certainty, that it’s something I’ve never seen before up close.
I kind of freaked out just a little, and took off for the fence to take some pictures, yelling for LG to come with me and see the baby horse.
The neighbor’s teenaged daughter saw us standing there looking at the foal and offered to bring her over and LG got to pet her. That is pretty darn cool if you ask me. No, I didn’t get pictures of that since I was, you know, busy holding her so she could reach over the fence.
Of course, she’s 3 and she got distracted by this…
I think I may have been more excited about the foal than she was, but she still thought it was pretty cool.
A little bit later, I spied our friendly neighborhood hummingbird (well, one of them) in one of our palo verde trees. I kept inching closer and closer, and even though the light was horrible because it was close to twilight and slightly overcast and she was so small I had to use digital zoom, I still think the photos are kind of cool.
How cute are those tiny tiny feet???

Whoa! A baby horsie! That’s really awesome! Love it.
That last picture, with the lighting as it is, almost looks not like it’s taken from looking up at the sky, but from looking down onto a flat surface… cool.

Great pictures, especially of the hummingbird! They are hard to photograph.
