Day 158: Sprinkles

The announcement that Sprinkles would open a store in the Phoenix area was made many moons ago, and the date on the website kept changing, but it finally opened a few weeks ago, and since our hair salon is just down the street, we got the chance to indulge today, and I do mean indulge since one cupcake sells for $3.25. I think in cases like this, it’s as much about the experience as it is the product, but the product helps you decide whether or not to go back again. We got a vanilla, a strawberry and a lemon coconut and while they were certainly good, if I’m going to pay over $3 for a cupcake, I’m expecting it to be the best cupcake I’ve ever had. Yes, they’re good and I’m glad we experienced Sprinkles, but will I be going there again anytime soon? Probably not. The best of the bunch was the vanilla, but they were all a tad drier than I like to enjoy my cupcakes. So there you have it.
