Today I finished the second quilt of four that I’m making for my nieces and nephews for Christmas. Two more to go! Mike didn’t like the colors on this one at first, but he says they have grown on him. I think this one is actually my favorite.

The church at the end of our street is adding lighting to the parking lot, so there has been a tractor around the last couple of days digging the holes. Today, LG and Mike took a walk down the road to see it a little closer.

Little Girl got a blue balloon from the cashier in Sprout’s today. I’m not really sure how many times I heard the word “b’loon” while we were in there, but I can tell you that she spotted every single balloon that had managed to float up to the ceiling. Every. single. one.

Little Girl hugging her friend G. G was actually due 9 days before LG was due, but LG made an early appearance so she is about a month and a half older than G.

It’s so rare to get Melody to stand still that I had to share this shot of her. Of course, her tail is still in motion!

I spent about an hour of my day cleaning up Little Girl’s play area and sorting through her toys, trying to weed out some of the ones she doesn’t play with very much. Gotta make room for the birthday and Christmas stuff that’s sure to come. ;-)

I feel very accomplished today. I finished my very first quilt. There is still a little bit of pressing to do and I need to sew the quilt label on, but for all intents and purposes it’s finished. And that feels pretty darn good. I cropped out all the background stuff on the photo so that you could focus on the quilt. And also because I didn’t want you to be distracted by the extraneous messiness around the quilting table. There are soooo many mistakes in this, but I don’t care. I did it! :)
