3 Years, 7 Months

I just realized as I was getting ready to post my photo of the day that it was LG picture day. Luckily, since she’s asleep now, I had actually taken a picture of her today, so I didn’t have to resort to taking a picture of her sleeping. ;)

Day 183: Red White and Blue

Red White & Blue

LG calls these her “ponies”. They are pony tail holders for her hair. She can’t wait to wear them!

My favorite photo for June is Day 167: Father’s Day

Day 182: Free Dog

Posted in Project 365+1 2008 on June 30th, 2008 by Karin

My site was down last night due to issues with the webhost, so I’m postdating this post and I’ll get my retrospective up sometime today.

Free Dog

I wasn’t feeling really creative today, but this is what we see every day that we let Melody run free in the front yard while we do our watering (which we’re doing in the evening now because it’s too hot in the morning).

Bonus shot:

Pink Sun

This doesn’t do it justice, but with the clouds and the smoke from wildfires in the area (nowhere close), the sun looked pink tonight.

Project 365 Topic #27: Free

Posted in Project 365+1 2008 on June 30th, 2008 by Karin

Of course, the big holiday approaching (in the US at least) is Independence Day! So, this week’s topic is free or freedom, independence, liberty, etc. As a bonus or alternate topic, try red, white and blue.

Day 181: Puppet in Progress

Puppet in Progress

Puppet in Progress

Vacation Bible School at our church starts a week from tomorrow (Monday). This year’s program is called “Power Lab” and it’s all about the Power of Jesus. The mascot puppet that was provided with the kit is a chipmunk and somehow that just didn’t make a lot of sense to us. A chipmunk in a laboratory? So, we decided to make our own. Or, to be more accurate, we enlisted Mike’s mom to help us make our own puppet. These pictures (taken by Mike on his phone) show the beginning stages of “Beaker” the talking test tube. Yes, I know test tubes don’t talk, but neither do chipmunks! And for those of you who are Muppets fans, you’ll remember Beaker, and our Beaker puppet is an homage to the muppet. I’ll try and remember to take a picture after it’s done!

Pink Fuzzy

LG calls this her “pink fuzzy”. It’s a toy feather boa and she LOVES it.

Bonus shot:

Clouds!

We haven’t seen any real clouds for several weeks, but it looks like the summer monsoon has arrived! No rain in our area, unfortunately.
